We want to shoot a scene with a man who has acupuncture needles throughout his body. Will this really affect the mans health or have negative side effects.
I wouldn’t just go stabbing someone with acupuncture needles. Acupuncture does work and done incorrectly you could cause him harm. Even if you don’t believe acupuncture works, would you want to take the chance of harming him if it does?
Can we use acupuncture needles for a movie without hurting the actor?

Only if he is superstitious. Acupuncture doesn’t really do anything beyond placebo.

What about consulting with an acupuncturist? You can find a local one through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine website.
