How many acupuncture sessions will I need?

by admin on September 18, 2009

I’m considering getting acupuncture done for PMS and stress issues- anyone have any idea how many sessions will be required for something like that?

acupuncture is great for PMS and stress.

Give it at least 6 treatments.

If it has been going on for many years it will require a bit more treatments than that.

You will see some postivie results along the way though.

It could be anywhere from 6 to 12. Your acupuncturist will let you know at the first session. It is hard to know how complicated your condition is. Chronic conditions (how long has this been going on) typically take longer to correct. With PMS you usually want to go through a couple of cycles.

You know… you do have an alternative, which is accupressure, EFT to be specific. You can do it yourself once you learn how, and it is often permanently successful on certain issues from the first session. But obviously stress is something that recurs for a lifetime, and you can use it again and again, as often as you need.
